Located in GABA-ergic synapse and glutamatergic synapse. Is expressed in several structures, including alimentary system; brain; genitourinary system; sensory organ; and skeleton. Used to study primary open angle glaucoma. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in Moyamoya disease. Orthologous to human GUCY1A1 (guanylate cyclase 1 soluble subunit alpha 1).
