Involved in several processes, including neuronal stem cell population maintenance; regulation of transcription, DNA-templated; and snRNA transcription by RNA polymerase II. Located in nucleolus; polytene chromosome puff; and transcriptionally active chromatin. Part of transcription elongation factor complex. Is expressed in adult brain cell body rind; adult optic lobe; and type II neuroblast.
