Part of transcription factor AP-1 complex. Is expressed in several structures, including epithelium; extended germ band embryo; germ layer; gut section; and motor neurons. Orthologous to several human genes including FOSL1 (FOS like 1, AP-1 transcription factor subunit); FOSL2 (FOS like 2, AP-1 transcription factor subunit); and FOS (Fos proto-oncogene, AP-1 transcription factor subunit).
